Walmart Beauty Haul

Beauty Must-Haves:

Hey Beauties!
Recently, I took a trip over to one of my favorite stores, Walmart.
Much to my surprise, I found some really nifty beauty items that were fairly cheap. Personally, I'm one of those type of people who loves a great product along with a great bargain as well. I managed to snag some really effective products for my personal use which retailed around the price of just $1-5 dollars maximum.
That's a steal right? (Hell yeah!)

These items are as follows:
- Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil
-Paradise Spa Vanilla Icing Body Lotion (yum!)
-Paradise Spa Vanilla Icing Shower Gel
-Clear Scalp&Hair Therapy Shampoo-Ultra Shea
-Handi Sandi Hand Sanitizer

What are your favorite beauty products from Walmart? Do share. ;)

Twist n' Locs Natural Oil Shampoo&Organic Leave-in Conditioner Review

Review Files:
"Twist n' Loc's Natural Oil Shampoo&Organic Leave-In Conditioner"

Hey y'all!
Today, I decided to wash my hair and give myself a little hair care pampering!
My tresses really needed a good conditioning, a strong wash, and a wee bit of a trim.
I can honestly say I've been letting myself go a little bit ,so today I deserved a little, "tender loving care."

I decided to hop in the shower and experiment two new goodies I received from a great natural hair company, Twist n' Locs. The goodies I received were packets of shampoo and leave-in conditioners. As you all may know, I'm a little obsessed with natural hair products. What can I say? I'm a true product junkie at heart!

On that note, I was very excited to try these products out for myself. I certainly didn't want to waste another minute to see how these products really worked on my curls. I really love how the company Twist n' Locs makes their merchandise all organic using some of the most healthiest of vitamins. I felt a little at ease with the knowledge of pampering my curls with the finest ingredients around. Their products are designed for any curl, coil, or kink and even dreadlock hairstyles as well!

Enjoy the review!..

Twist N' Locs Natural Oil Shampoo:
"Soothes roughened hair for healthy lustrous shine. Excellent for dry or over processed hair.
Natural ingredients protect hair and thoroughly cleanse thick or tightly curled hair.

My thoughts:
Shampoos can be a curly girl's worst nightmare! Many shampoos I've experienced in the past caused my curls more harm than good. After using this product, my overall opinion about shampoos have drastically changed! My hair felt unbelievably soft and even manageable. This shampoo is clearly like any other ,maybe because it's so much better? One of the few things I noticed about this fan-tabulous product were the ingredients. Several shampoos I've used in the past possessed some of the worst ingredients around! To name a few, these ingredients are as follows: Propylene glycol, Synthetic colors, Diethanolamine, and many more.(Talk about yuck, right?) However, this particular shampoo is made with healthy ingredients, unlike the others. (I'd rather not say any names, ha!These ingredients include: Nano multivitamins A, D, E, and F ,along with natural herbs such as coconut oil and rosemary. If you ask me, that's a recipe for not only a healthier shampoo experience but a healthier head of curls!

Smell:
Don't you just love a great smelling hair product? Heck, I do! While I washed my hair with this shampoo, I decided to take a few sniffs here and there. Much to my surprise, the scent was sooo wonderful. ( I literally felt like I belonged in a Herbal Essences hair commercial! ) If you ask me,  I'd say that this shampoo smells like a delicious piece of store bought candy. The fragrance of this product is so sweet, maybe even sweet enough to eat!

Price:
I'll admit, when it comes to purchasing new hair care items, I can be the cheapest girl around! I always look for a great bargain, especially when it comes to hair products. To my satisfaction, this particular shampoo is just $3.99.(Now that's what I call a bargain for such a high-quality product!)

Ingredients:
This conditioner is infused with nano multivitamins A, D, E and F ,along with natural herbs. These natural herbs are as follows; Coconut Oil, Rosemary Oil, and Aloe Vera.

Overall Feeling:
Overall, I'm remotely shocked amongst the outcome of my hair because of this shampoo! I'm not going to lie, before I used this product I thought I was really begging for a disaster. Many shampoos I've used in the past only caused my hair trouble on top of trouble. Can you imagine tangles and dryness? Yes, it's a bad picture! To my knowledge, using this shampoo was a breeze. This product made my hair very soft, manageable ,and even clean as well. (Well duh, shampoos were made to cleanse your scalp!) In the past, shampoos were truly my arch nemesis ,but I think my curls just found a new best friend;shampoo!

Twist N' Locs Organic Leave-in Conditioner:
"Adds luster and moisture to dry or over processed hair. All natural formula for extra protection and shine."

My thoughts:
Conditioners are an absolute must for curly hair. Personally, my hair is very curly and very kinky at the same time ,so my curls always need a good conditioning. Today, there's a wide variety of conditioners in the natural hair market. Many of which include; deep conditioners, regular conditioners, and leave-ins. Normally, regular conditioners are apart of my wash regimen. However, after using Twist n' Loc's Organic Leave-in Conditioner, I might add this product towards my weekly wash routine from now on and considerably throughout my hair journey as well. I noticed a great change in the look and feel of my hair after my experience with this product. This small but effective organic leave-in goes a long way for any hair type that longs for some additional moisture! Usually, my hair is drier than the Sahara Desert itself, so I was very pleased after using this marvelous leave-in conditioner for the very first time. (;

Moisture & Smell:
Ahhh moisture how I love the? Did I mention that this leave-in provides insane moisture? I'm not sure If I did but I'll gladly remind you.. My hair is very dry naturally so any moisture I receive from a good conditioner is a perfect product in my eyes. My kinks definitely feel and look so much juicer! The smell is something I adore as well. This particular product smells completely different from the shampoo but it's still a nice fragrance nonetheless;it's a very subtle aroma.

Price:
Much similar to the shampoo, this item is $3.99 as well. (I think the frugal gods know what I like!)

Ingredients:
This conditioner is infused with; Nano multivitamins A, D, E and F along with Keratin protein.

Overall Feeling:
Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this company's hair products! After using this leave-in, my hair felt very soft to the touch. Along with softness, I noticed my hair gave off a beautiful sheen as well. Normally, my Afro rarely showcases sheen so I was pleasantly surprised and a little bit stunned. Another great factor I would like to point out is the consistency of this leave-in. Majority of conditioners are usually thick and creamy but this particular conditioner is uniquely thin! On a day-to-day basis I rarely use leave-ins but I think I may continue to use this product! The opportunity to sample this product was very pleasing, and the outcome of my hair has never been better. Results may vary. I always say; "Don't knock it till' ya' try it!"

Suave Coconut Conditioner Product Review

Review Files:
Suave Coconut Conditioner Product Review

Today is the day that I genuinely dread of, no it’s not laundry day, and it’s certainly not dish day either..
It’s wash day! The day I absolutely hate the most. Hear me out, I sport an Afro 24/7 everyday and every night. I have single strand knots for days, tangles for miles, and dryness like a damn desert! When wash day comes I’d rather go outside and get run over by a speeding car than wash my hair. It’s that bad!
I can recall a time where I used to liveee' to wash my hair. I literally fathomed all day about sinking my fingers threw my coils and kinks. Those were the good ole’ days, but now it’s a freaking nightmare!!!

Luckily, through the help and discovery of one of my favorite conditioners, “Suave Coconut Conditioner“ washing my hair has become an easier task to endure but don’t me wrong I still hate washing my hair.
*finger snap* For those who are unaware of Suave, I’m sorry but you've been living under a rock your whole entire life. Their products saved my hair’s life! This conditioner really impacted my hair in so many ways, believe me when I say, “washing my hair has become an easier task to endure...”
I really mean it and I’ll tell you why...

Off to the review!

    1.) Front View                                                                 2.) Close-Up
    3.) Bird’s-eye view                                                           4.) Design Close-Up

My Review:

For starters, let's discuss the price. One of the main reasons I absolutely love this product is because it's so darn cheap! Knowing me, I love a great bargain, especially dealing with hair products. Today, many different brands can go a little overboard with their prices, but Suave makes sure you purchase a product that's not only affordable but definitely efficient to use. Some may say, "you get what you pay for" but with this conditioner you really get a lot more! Upon using this product I was very pleased with my overall results. I noticed softness, moisture, and even slip. "Slip" is a common word to use for combing out your hair with ease. In a million years, I would've never mustered up the strength to say that combing my hair is a breeze. Usually, combing out an Afro is a workout in it's self! Just imagine the comb breaking, your hair snapping, and conditioner every freaking where!! It's far from a pretty picture ,huh?

Moisture is the second greatest asset of this conditioner. Truthfully, I've been using this product for months and I noticed a great change in the touch and sight of my hair. I can now say my Afro is; DY-NO-MYTE! Normally, I suffer from very dry strands but now my hair is very saturated and I must admit; I love it! Softness is another great benefit from this conditioner. Achieving softness and moisture at the same time can be unbelievable but Sauve never sells itself short. Softness, moisture, and slip all in one product are a triple whammy!

To top things off, I'll admit washing my hair has now been very painless and stress-free! Suave's Coconut
Conditioner helped my hair tremendously. It comes to show through the help of your favorite products, *cough*,*cough*, "Suave", experiencing wash days can be a smoother adventure for you and your hair! With that being said, try this product out for yourself you may like it or in some cases, dislike it. Everyone's hair is different, I always say, "Don't knock it till' ya' try it!

Care Free Curl Instant Moisturizer Review

Review Files:
"Care Free Curl Instant Moisturizer Review"

Moisturizers today claim to beautifully nourish, and moisten a head of dry hair. Are these statements actually true,or is it just a misleading gesture? The Care Free Curl Moisturizer is a daunting example of a product that claims to moisturize your hair, but yet produces quite the opposite effect. As a true product-junkie, I always make sure to find that perfect product! I can't express to you enough the countless moisturizers I've purchased, experimented, and tossed in the trash can. Moisturizers were made to moisturize, nourish, condition and most importantly treat the driest of tresses! However, a moisturizer like this belongs right on the shelf next to the line full of misleading and horribly made, "moisturizing" hair products.

I'll explain why..
Pictures:

My Review:
Well, hmm. I'm going to put it this way, this product sucks! Point, blank, period. There's really nothing good to say about this moisturizer. First, this moisturizer does a lousy job on keeping your hair moist. Many moisturizers were made for one reason, and one reason only;to MOISTURIZE!!! I think the company that manufactured this product really missed the mark completely.

Secondly, the smell is kinda bad, but surprisingly normal. It's a very mild smell in fact. The only problem I've surfaced is that this moisturizer has a similar smell of grease, and I hate grease! The only good thing about this product are the "defining" capabilities. Don't get me wrong, it's still a bad moisturizer ,but it's perfect for defining your curls, and coily-coils. I love the definition in my hair ,so this is definitely a plus! I'll give this product a little credibility on the defining factor, but it's merely not good enough to win me over.

The last thing I really hate about this product is how it feels! Personally, I'm not a very big fan of slippery ,or greasy products so I was very turned off after feeling my hands for the very first time. Grease plus slip is a no-no! In conclusion, I would never buy this product again. I mean if you really want moisturized tresses I suggest you look elsewhere , and fast! For the most part, everyone's hair is different so you may have a completely dissimilar experience. As far as I know, you may love this product, or like me you may hate it! Whatever the case may be, I always say, "Don't knock it till' ya' try it!"

Smell: 1/5
The smell of this merchandise really isn't that bad. If you're wondering, It's a very mild greasy smell. If you're accustomed to the smell of grease then this factor won't affect you much. Although, for myself I really despise the smell of grease ,so the product lost many brownie points with me!
