Houston is one of the biggest and liveliest cities in Texas!

This city has so much to offer. Whether you're looking for the hottest hangout spots ,or even a laid-back lounge there's something for everyone. With so many places to visit and explore it's hard to pick just one location to discover. One of those exciting places is, "The Chocolate Bar". The chocolate bar is a local candy store in North-East Houston. Similar to the well known, "Dylan's Candy Bar". This chocolate destination has it's very own signature style. Purple walls, funky decorations, and wild wallpaper are just the very few things that makes this destination standout.  Watch out Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, because this candy bar is going to give you a run for your money. ;]

Ahhh' Chocolate, American's most favorite candy. 

I can say for myself that I'm not a big fan of chocolate ,but after visiting this amazing candy bar my opinion about this tasty treat has drastically changed. I mean can you blame me? I saw more chocolate in one sitting than Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! Chocolate truffles, strawberries, pineapples, pretzel sticks, and even chocolate inspired roses are just the very few things this chocolate wonderland beautifully displayed. 

With so many varieties of chocolate it came no surprise that everybody and their momma' crowded the store just to get a glimpse and taste of something sweet! As beautiful and appetizing the chocolate appeared the prices weren't a fair game. One piece of chocolate estimated at a value of $1.85!! I mean hey, I can buy a bag of skittles at the corner store for that much. [Just sayin']

Although the prices were fairly high, grabbing a tasty treat was still a motive I destined to accomplish. After setting my eyes on a milk chocolate cherry, I quickly made a run for the checkout line. Upon purchasing, I didn't have time to waste. I desperately wanted to try this delicious candy! I didn't take pictures of this gourmet delight, but boyyyyy it was a beauty, and a well spent 1.85$. After one bite, my taste buds were in love and my mouth thanked me for a great selection! 

All I can say was, MMmmmmhhMMmmMmm!

Overall, this is a fantastic place to bring your children, a fun date, your family ,and even your snag' a' tooth grandparents. [Chuckles] The chocolate here is delicious ,and there's so much to choose from! They even have normal commercial brand candy if chocolate doesn't suit you..

If you're ever in Houston stop by the candy bar and remember to bring your elastic waistband jeans, cause' you'll definitely go crazy racking up on candy!

Destination: Potter's Wheel

Hey Beauties,
           Today, I decided to visit some local places right here in Houston!
Potter's Wheel is one of those few places here in Houston where you can demonstrate your artistic abilities, make pottery, and simply have fun enjoying art! ....

         Personally, art is one of my many talents that I posses...

          

Art will always be a very important hobby and craft in my life. Ever since I can remember, I've always had a niche and a deep profound passion for art. When I discovered, "Potter's Wheel" I almost immediately knew this place was most certainly in my element. This destination is truly an artist's dream! At Potter's Wheel, you can paint, sculp pottery, and of course indulge while purchasing some unique and timeless retail merchandise. I've heard some really great stories about Potter's Wheel, and with my curious instinct I made it my task to check out this place for myself! I even decided to bring my mother along for the journey as well. By doing so, I thought this artistic place would bring me and my mother closer. Drawing and art has always been a shared talent between us. 

Entering, we greeted by a really bubbly sales clerk. She made it her mission and her task to show us how Potter's Wheel really worked. Me and my mother were so thankful she did, because we were so confused about getting things started. First, she directed us towards a huge variety of sculptures to choose from. There were so many to pick from! I eventually decided to paint a cute cupcake sculpture. Meanwhile, my mother decided to paint a boring ole' princess sculpture...

Soon after, we selected our sculptures and were soon greeted by a huge wall of colors! The wall of colors reminded me of a rainbow. There were so many reds, pinks , blues, purples, and every color imaginable. I've chosen black, some creams, blues, and greens. Shortly, we began to paint! 

Originally, I planned on designing a cheetah print cupcake but that idea didn't work out so well. Furthermore, that idea rapidly turned into something else. I began to paint aliens all over my cupcake! I really wanted to implicate the night sky. [Hey, I watch a lot of sci-fi movies , so I knew what I was doing, hah-ha] It took me about an hour but I finally completed my creation! 

                     [Don't laugh... I'd say for myself, Picasso has nothing on my alien cupcake!]

My mother and I soon began to become very hungry from painting ,so we wrapped our brushes up, added the finishing touches, and headed over to the checkout counter! Our estimated total was about $30 dollars. Being the frugal monster that I'am, I thought thirty dollars was quite expensive for such a small painting. I guess we were paying for the ambiance? *shrugs*  Aside from that, I guess it was a well spent adventure!
                                                                                

Overall, visiting Potter's Wheel for the very first time was a great experience! I had lots of fun painting, decorating, and spending time with my mother. In the near future, I hope to come back once more...

To top off the night, I saw this really amazing car. It just screamed vintage! 

I really had to capture this master-piece of a vehicle.

You can almost imagine your grandmother sporting this bad boy in the late 60's.

John Legend Concert!

"John Legend Concert"

Hey y'all!! Howdy, and getty-up!

   Over this past weekend, me and my boyfriend experienced John Legend's concert for the very first time over at the, "Houston's Livestock & Rodeo". I can say for myself that I had a blast! The music was soothing, tasteful, and hip swinging. When I mean hip swinging, I mean hip swinging. His music made me want to dance and shout for joy! I remember singing every one of his songs. (Even the ones I didn't know.)

   The set up was remarkably beautiful and the scenery took my breath away. Not to mention, the lighting for the concert was perfect as well. Houston really did an amazing job in preparing John Legend's stage performance this year. Each one of his performances captured the mood of his songs with a great digital back drop and a breathtaking firework display! I was in awe and disbelief by how amazing his performance was.

This is where a lucky audience member got to meet John Legend in person, he gave her a rose right after!

I was soo jealous. -.-; lol. 

After the concert we attended the carnival and this was our last ride, we were on the ferris wheel so I took a pic of the scenery behind me. :)

Overall we had a blast ,even though my babe didn't like John Legend as much as I did. We created some memories that day. Some memories we may never forget...
